While he was busy confusing a dementia test for an IQ test, Donald Trump made a casual, yet shocking, admission about his health on Monday. Trump claimed that he had an MRI during his recent trip to Walter Reed Medical Center, prompting doctors to warn people that this is NOT normal. MRIs are performed when doctors are looking for something, NOT as part of a “routine” examination, as Trump had claimed. The big question is whether the MRI happened before or after his cognitive assessment.

Donald Trump suffered another crushing legal blow this week when a federal judge said that he CANNOT use the government shutdown to just fire all the government employees that he wants to fire. The administration had already made it clear that they were going to begin the firings before the shutdown even began, but they were immediately sued by a group of federal workers. The judge this week put out an order saying that no one can be fired until the lawsuit is resolved, effectively ending Trump’s plans for an employment massacre.

So far, all of the Republican talking points blaming Democrats for the government shutdown have failed with the public, so they are trying to get more and more creative with the blame game. This week, Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson decided on a new person to blame for the shutdown, and it happens to be someone that isn’t even a member of the federal government. The new person “responsible” for the shutdown, according to Johnson, is New York mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani.
