The Washington Post reports that Education Secretary Betsy DeVos has violated a court order to stop collecting on the debts of Corinthian College students. Attorneys for former students of the defunct for-profit chain are asking a federal court to hold DeVos in contempt for illegally pursuing student debts in violation of a standing court order.

A new Washington Post poll finds that, by a margin of 58% to 38%, Americans say Democrats were correct to begin an impeachment inquiry into Trump.

The Supreme Court is set to hear arguments in two of the term’s most closely watched cases over whether federal civil rights law protects LGBT people from job discrimination.

The cases Tuesday are the court’s first on LGBT rights since Justice Anthony Kennedy’s retirement and replacement by Justice Brett Kavanaugh. A decision is expected by early summer 2020, amid the presidential election campaign.

And Trump’s 2020 campaign is threatening to sue Minneapolis for trying to force the campaign to pay $530,000 for security at an upcoming rally at the Target Center Arena.

The StarTribune reports Minneapolis officials told the Target Center it would have to cover the costs, but the arena then allegedly tried to pass the bill on to Trump’s team and said they wouldn’t be able to use the site unless they coughed up.
