Next Nomiki is joined by Luke Savage to talk about his recent article in Jacobin “The U.S. Has Spent $21 Trillion on Militarization Since 9/11.” Luke is a staff writer at Jacobin, is writing has also been featured in Current Affairs, The Guardian, New Statesman, LRC, and others. Based in Toronto, Luke has also worked as a political staffer at Queen’s Park and for a Member of Parliament. He was a candidate for the Ontario New Democratic Party in the 2014 provincial election. He writes about Canadian and international politics, religion, labour issues, philosophy, and the history of the democratic left.
