The title of Luke Mogelson's new book works on a few levels for us. I was going to play his interview on Friday, but too much was happening to do it all justice, so I opted to save the interview for today as we dealt with the latest atrocity from the governor of Floriduh. DeSantis is now enjoying all the attention he's getting for his perverse and sickening stunt perpetrated on 50 Venezuelans who risked their lives to come to the US to ask for asylum. We will have a few postscripts on that story, and a few words about the other storms we're weathering, both figuratively and literally as Puerto Rico is flooded and without power yet again... As for Luke Mogelson, the celebrated war correspondent came home to cover the storm he saw brewing with the rise of right wing extremists, conspiracy theorists, QAnon and MAGA world...
