On October 10 and 11 in NYC, Party Girls hosted a couple of events for the launch of the December 4th Legal Committee's book, 'Depose: Luigi Mangione, the Right to Health, and the Unfinished American Revolution,' out now on Ill Will Editions. We recorded our October 10 event at Queens' Ridgewood Commons so that you can listen and feel like you were there. Sam kicked things off with a rousing speech about who the D4 committee is and what we're about, then Jamie read from her upcoming essay for Current Affairs on the media narratives around Luigi. Then Nick, an editor of the book, expounded on some of the book's themes around the right to health and the dilemma posed by Medicare for All. If our event makes you thirsty for more, you can buy the book at Deposebook.com.
Party Girls listeners can read Jamie's forthcoming article IN PRINT in the November edition of Current Affairs if they subscribe between now and October 31st! Use the code "PARTYGIRLS" to get 25% off your subscription. :)
